Jumping for joy . . . Alina Shahid with her maths pass
MOVE over Carol Vorderman.
Little maths whizzkid Aline Shahid is making headlines after scooping a GCSE... at the age of 10!
Alina, a pupil at Knowsley Junior School, Springhead, has been receiving private tuition at home since November last year.
And her teacher, Katie Miller, recognised her flair for maths straight away.
She entered Alina, who lives in Lees Road, Clarksfield, to sit the GCSE maths exam at Breeze Hill School and the youngster passed with flying colours . . . achieving a grade C.
Miss Miller said: “Alina is absolutely over the moon and will sit the higher paper next year. She was a very talented girl from the start.
“Her parents are thrilled to bits and will be celebrating.”
