SHOPPERS were transported from the aisles to a sunshine isle when they popped into their local Co-op store.
Staff at the branch in Owl Mill Street, Lees, donned shorts, sarongs, sombreros and shades when they held a charity beach party.
The holiday fun was part of the Co-operative’s drive to raise £2 million across the country for the Royal National Institute for the Deaf (RNID), which supports people who are deaf or hard of hearing. Michael Pickup is pictured with his Co-op colleagues.
