Funeral director Robert dies at 92

THE former owner of Wild and Brierley funeral directors has died aged 92.

Robert Fletcher Wild died in a nursing home in Devon on September 2.

His great-grandfather founded the business, currently based in Edward Street, in the 1800s. Mr Wild remained a part of the company until early this year.

He is survived by wife Doreen, sons Graham and Martin and daughter Bronwen.

The funeral service is at Oldham Crematorium, Hollinwood, on Friday at 11am followed by a private internment.
