Blustery wet weather did not deter 40 teams from tackling Saddleworth Runners’ annual Cross Keys relay race.
The event, starting at the Cross Keys pub in Uppermill, challenged teams of four on two laps of a road circuit and two laps on the fells. Rossendale Harriers scooped the prizes, taking first place in the men’s women’s and junior sections.
The first Saddleworth team back, in eighth position, was made up of Adam King, Chris Webb, Chris Davies and Ray Green.
