A RAMADAN meal for people with hearing difficulties has been hailed a success after it attracted a large crowd.
The Oldham Deaf Diverse Community welcomed deaf and hearing people from many communities to the Link Centre in Union Street, Oldham, where staff and volunteers prepared traditional and sweet dishes for the breaking of the fast.
Information about Ramadan was presented on the day, explaining why this was a special month for Muslims.
Members of the first Oldham and Rochdale deaf football team, Deaf Rhinos, who came second in their league, received their trophies after the meal.
Oldham Deaf Diverse Community meets once a month and runs activities with various workshops and trips out.
