Police pull cars over on Chadderton Way during the day of action
VEHICLE checks were carried out on Chadderton Way as part of a police day of action across Greater Manchester.
An automatic number plate recognition was organised by the Traffic Network Section who teamed up with the Tactical Aid Unit to clamp down on criminals using road and rail, as well as tackling unroadworthy vehicles and driving offences.
Across the region, police recovered one stolen vehicle, eight people were arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and 21 vehicles were seized for offences including having no insurance or MOT certificate.
