EAGER youngsters embarked on the first day at their brand new school as Royton Hall Primary opened its doors.
The school, in High Barn Road, is an amalgamation of High Barn and Byron Street schools.
Children starting the new term were delighted to explore the spacious play ground and sports pitch as well as the bright and modern purpose built classrooms fit for delivering a 21st century curriculum.
Head teacher Jane Wilson said: “The staff and governors are very pleased to be in our new building moving forward with all our children together.”
