Charity cart drive rides into villages
Date published: 15 September 2009
FUND-RAISING fun... horses and their drivers take to the streets of Saddleworth.
HORSES proudly paraded through the streets of Saddleworth for the annual fund-raising cart drive.
Riders from as far afield as Rotherham and Southport descended on the villages to raise money for Oldham Mountain Rescue Team.
After starting at The Old Bell in Delph, the 22-strong group paraded through Uppermill.
A pit stop at the King William in Greenfield gave the group chance to gather donations from customers before they headed back to their starting point.
