TAXI-DRIVERS from Cartax Radio Cars have organised a fund-raising bash in aid of the Christie’s at Oldham appeal.
Stax of Soul headline the event, on Sunday, September 27 at Envy night club, Waterloo Street, Oldham, and entertainment includes a ballroom dancing display from Trujons Dance Studio.
There will also be a raffle with a raft of prizes including Sunday lunch for two at a number of local restaurants and pubs, a vehicle service, caravan holiday in the Lake District and a stadium tour, courtesy of Manchester City FC.
Eric Hawes, manager of Cartax, has sent out an invitation to Oldhamers to join in and make the event a huge success.
The venue can accommodate around 400 people, and Eric said: “The radiotherapy unit is a good thing for Oldham, and this is our way of supporting it and giving something back to the community.”
Tickets are £10 each on the door or in advance from Cartax Radio Cars office in High Street, Lees, or from Eric on 07815-731070 or Tracy on 07977-488787.
