Get involved in movie action

SCHOOLS are being encouraged to create a bit of movie magic.
Filmclub will be holding a free induction event at the City Learning Centre, Chadderton, on September 24 for teachers interested in setting up the after-school activity.
The initiative was founded by Beeban Kidron, director of “Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason”, and educationalist Lindsay Mackie.
It provides free access to hundreds of classic and popular films which are delivered to schools for screening. There are also opportunities to host VIP guests, question and answer sessions with industry experts, workshops and movie set visits.
Actor, Ewan McGregor said: “Filmclub is incredible. Through it children will be exposed to different worlds, new cultures and the limitless possibilities life has to offer.
“It will inspire children to decide what they want to do.”
