A DELEGATION of Bulgarian visitors has taken a tour of Oldham — to see how organisations in the borough deliver services.
The 17 visitors from municipalities around the capital city, Sofia, saw some of the borough’s major developments, such as the housing market renewal area and Failsworth School.
They then met deputy council leader Councillor Jackie Stanton at the Civic Centre before finding out about a range of projects, including the Passport to Summer activities for young people and the Get Oldham Back on Track scheme which helps people back to work.
Councillor Stanton said the council was delighted to welcome the visitors to Oldham.
She said: “We told them about how, by working together, we have made a difference in the borough.”
