OLDHAMERS are being encouraged to have their say when it comes to health services, at Pennine Acute Trust’s annual meeting.
The trust is responsible for the five hospitals in Oldham, Rochdale, Bury and North Manchester, and people will be able to quiz health bosses about them at the meeting on Tuesday, September 29.
The doors open at 5.45pm, and the event starts at 6.30pm in the education centre at Rochdale Infirmary.
Trust chairman John Jesky will be joined by the chief executive, John Saxby, executive directors and other board members, and the annual report and accounts for the last financial year will be available.
Mr Jesky said: “This event gives patients, their relatives and community groups a chance to have their say and ask questions to the senior clinicians and managers leading and developing health services across our five hospitals.
“We have made some significant progress in developing new services for local people and in tackling the burden of healthcare acquired infection.
“It has been a year of financial stability, a year of solid progress and achievement of targets and a year where we have started to see major new clinical developments taking place.”
He added: “None of our achievements to date and none of what we set out to achieve in the future is possible without the commitment and dedication of all of our staff.”
