YOUNGSTERS made some furry friends at the official launch of Stockbrook Children’s Centre.
They enjoyed petting a chinchilla, a rabbit and a guinea pig — as well as getting up close to some fascinating birds of prey. The centre is one of several in Oldham which aim to give children the best start in life by offering a range of free services for families. It opened at St Luke’s CE Primary School, Chadderton, last October, but laid on an impressive range of fun attractions during an open day to mark the official launch.
