A TORY councillor and his wife arrested over allegations of inappropriate e-mails have been rebailed.
Failsworth West Councillor Ian Barker and his wife Jennifer, a part-time researcher for the Tory party, were arrested, questioned and bailed in August.
Police were called in by the council’s chief executive Charlie Parker following a complaint about inappropriate e-mails which purported to be in someone else’s name. Councillor Barker (32) and Mrs Barker (31) have been bailed until November 15.
