STUDENTS have been getting to grips with a giant Rubik’s Cube as part of a series of fun activities aimed at changing people’s perception of dyslexia.
It is one of the mind-boggling puzzles they can tackle at Oldham Sixth-Form College until Friday during Dyslexia Awareness Week.
Around 50 students at the college are among the 10 per cent of the population who have the condition which can affect reading and spelling.
The annual event aims to highlight the strengths people with dyslexia have — such as problem-solving, lateral and creative thinking and good 3D awareness — rather than just the problem areas.
The Rubik’s cube was created by art students, while other students made posters at dyslexia workshops.
