Youth are our future
YOUNG volunteers who have all done their bit to make Oldham a better place were recognised at an awards ceremony to honour their efforts.
Eighteen young people who each gave more than 100 hours of their free time to better other people’s lives earned certificates from Werneth and Freehold Community Development Project.
Projects in which they were involved ranged from helping out at a junior youth club and working with older people to cleaning up areas around their homes.
The Youth Mayor, Mohammed Adil, showed his support for the young volunteers and the work they have done by handing out certificates at the ceremony.
