Shoppers add police surgery to the list

SHOPPERS at Tesco’s Huddersfield Road store can pick up crime prevention advice along with their bread, milk and eggs on Saturday.
Officers from the Oldham East Neighbourhood Policing Team will be holding a surgery from 3-6pm.
Surgeries give the public a chance to speak to officers about any concerns they have about crime and anti-social behaviour in their community. They can also pick up crime prevention advice and find out how to get involved in Home Watch.
PC Ian McDonald said: “This is one of the biggest supermarkets in Oldham with thousands visiting the store each week, making it an ideal place for us to meet members of the community and advise them on how to avoid becoming a victim of crime. It also gives shoppers the chance to let us know what their priorities are and tell us what improvements they’d like to see in Oldham East.”
Anyone who can’t make it to the surgery but would like to contact the Oldham East Neighbourhood Policing Team should call 0161-856 9028 or e-mail oldhameast.npt@gmp.police.uk .
