Makeover plan for beauty salon
Date published: 12 October 2009
IT could be all change at Station House in Beal Lane, Shaw, after the thumbs-up was given to plans to alter a beauty salon.
Shaw and Crompton Parish Council Planning Committee approved a proposal to transform the existing beauty salon into a house and the garage into a beauty salon.
The building is next to Shaw and Crompton’s railway stop, currently closed while the line is converted into a tram track.
St Mary’s Primary School, Rushcroft Road, Shaw, also received good news as plans to extend a classroom and create a separate learning space were backed.
Other planning applications recommended for approval include erecting a double garage to the front of 342 Milnrow Road, Shaw; a single-storey rear bedroom extension and rear conservatory at 142A Trent Road, Shaw: and erecting two internal, illuminated signs at Boots, 8 Market Street, Shaw.
The plans now go before Oldham Council’s planning committee.
