AROUND 20 jobs at Oldham-based fork-lift truck hire business Lancashire Fork Truck (Services) Ltd have been saved after the business was sold for an undisclosed sum to Linde Sterling.
Based at Westwood Business Centre, Featherstall Road South, LFT was sold out of administration by Charles MacMillan, partner and head of corporate recovery at Manchester-based accountants and business advisors Beever and Struthers.
Linde Sterling, based in Warrington, is the accredited distributor of Linde forklift trucks and warehousing equipment for the North-West and North Wales.
Mr MacMillan said: “It’s always pleasing to secure jobs via the successful sale of a business and especially so in these testing times.
“The business had suffered from reduced demand for equipment hire because of the downturn in the sectors it served but after a competitive bidding process we secured its future.
“Linde Sterling are ideal new owners of LFT because of their experience and we wish them all the best for the future.”
