A HIGH-TECH roadshow rolls into Oldham this week to give students the low-down on university.
Oldham College and Oldham Sixth Form College students will be visiting the Aimhigher Roadshow — the largest of its kind in Europe — as it continues a tour of England.
It has been given a makeover and is packed with a plasma screen and computers where teenagers can find out more about higher education.
They will also use hand-help voting by pads to answer questions and give their opinions.
The roadshow is hosted by Manchester Metropolitan University graduate Laura Millen (pictured) who will answer questions on all aspects of university life.
She explained “Many of the young people I meet are unaware of all the options available to them. 9Because I am close to their age, they seem to find it easier to speak to me and they aren’t afraid to ask me the questions that they really want answering.
“Speaking to them on their level reiterates the fact that university can be an option for them all, regardless of their background.”
