1,000 vacancies at jobs fair

Around 1,000 vacancies were advertised at a jobs and skills fair at the Queen Elizabeth Hall.
Oldham Council, the Army and the police were among the employers who attended the event, organised by careers service Highways to Opportunities and Jobcentre Plus. People could talk to specialist employment advisers and take part in workshops on topics such as filling in an application form and completing a CV.
