Move on or else, travellers warned
Date published: 28 October 2009
TRAVELLERS have been given until today to move off the former Ashworth abattoir site in Royton.
Around 20 caravans have descended on the land in Edge Lane in recent days.
They are believed to be the same travellers who set up camp on the former B&Q car park in Oldham last week — for the the fourth time this year.
Landowner Harvey Ashworth has posted a notice saying that the bailiffs and police will attend today if they do not move on.
