Hang on, I’m trying for a perfect shot

Hanging around waiting for the perfect shot is all part of the job for professional photographers . . . but Evening Chronicle sharpshooter Anthony Miller took the exercise to new heights.
He went along to a half-term climbing session at Oldham Sports Centre, where youngsters were learning the ropes, and decided the best angle from which to to capture the moment was from above looking down.
So he donned harness and safety ropes before being hauled into place.
Youngsters took to the wall with the help of voluntary climbing instructors as part of the National Indoor Climbing Achievement Scheme (NICAS).
The nationally-accredited scheme will be run from the sports centre on Friday afternoons and Sunday mornings.
Alan Keane, course director, said: “There has always been an open door policy about using the climbing wall but now we are giving people an opportunity to progress in the sport and gain accreditation.”
