OLDHAM Partnership wants businesses in the borough to not only survive the credit crunch, but thrive . . . and to help they have linked up with Chronicle Business, and partners Web Applications, to set up a free business information webinar on Thursday, November 19.
Through a panel of local experts, business people will be able to view presentations, ask questions and gather information without the need to leave work or home.
The event will also allow more people from the same business attend the meeting as there are no travel costs to attend the webinar.
Jonathan Philips, of Oldham Council Regeneration, said: “For many business people time is a limited resource and to take time out for advice on their business is a luxury many cannot afford, but cannot afford to be without.
“Our webinars will fit round the working day to allow business people access to more information, without any costs in time or money.”
Hosted by myself, in my guise as Chronicle Business Editor, the webinar will include experts in finance, revenue and customs, business growth, marketing and working with local authorities.
To register and join the two webinars taking place, the first starting at noon and the second at 5.30pm, go to

What is a webinar? Webinars are an increasingly popular method for busy business people to keep in touch without actually needing to meet in person. Short for web-based seminar, a webinar is a presentation, lecture, workshop or seminar transmitted over the internet.
A key feature is the interactive element — the ability to give, receive and discuss information.
