THE founder of a martial arts club in Royton paid a surprise flying visit to see her former friends, colleagues and students.
Paula Hundertajlo, who now lives in Canada, visited Taebaek Taekwando, which meets four evenings and Saturday mornings in Shepherd Street, Royton.
Now run by Gary Mallam, from Chadderton, and Graham Naylor and his wife Lalena, from Royton, the club moved to town seven years ago.
Founded in Chadderton by Paula and her husband Mario, the club has more than 70 members ranging in age from “Little Ninjas” between four and six to adults.
Optician Gary is a master instructor at the club and took on the business when the Hundertajlos announced they were emigrating.
His previous business partner in the enterprise, another master instructor, has now been bought out by the Naylors.
Gary, a graphic designer, has been a member at Taebeck for 10 years and is also a master instructor, while Lalena looks after the running of the business.
