THE Radclyffe way to school success was celebrated at a presentation night at the Queen Elizabeth Hall this week.
Radclyffe School head teacher Hardial Hayer told staff, parents, pupils and special guest Charlie Parker, chief executive of Oldham Council, that GCSE results were the best in the school’s history.
The school achieved a rise of 13 per cent in A* to C grades, reaching 76 per cent, and a record were at A* and A grades.
A record number of pupils went on to enrol at Oldham Sixth Form College.
Sporting success was also high at the school, which is a training venue for the London 2012 Olympics.
Other notable successes saw the school gain the Artsmark Gold award, it was judged the best educational building in the North-West and Radclyffe is now a High Performing Specialist School and will share success and strategies with other schools.
Mr Hayer told guests: “The Radclyffe way is to make success an infectious habit. I believe we are well on the road to finding a formula where success breeds success on our never-ending journey in pursuit of personal excellence.”
