Date published: 26 November 2009
A BUSY main road out of Oldham was closed for an hour yesterday when a woman was cut free from her car after colliding with a bus.
The Fiat driver also had a young passenger, who managed to get himself out after the crash with the single-deck bus on Shaw Road, near Egerton Street, at around 4.15pm.
The woman had suspected neck injuries and was conscious as firefighters cut the roof off the car and laid her on a spine board before she was taken to the Royal Oldham Hospital.
The bus driver and 15 passengers escaped injury.
