Festivities to start

A day of fun kick-starts the Christmas countdown in Chadderton, courtesy of the District Partnership.
The entertainment started today at noon at Chadderton precinct with a Christmas market featuring handmade Christmas cards, crystal products, chocolates, jewellery and a tombola.
The Christmas lights will be switched on at 6pm by the winning prince and princess from the local primary schools’ competition.
There will also be an ice rink, children’s fairground rides and a visit from Father Christmas.
