Man, 20, on death charges

A man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a collision that killed a motorcyclist in Green Lane, Failsworth.

Stuart Halliday (20) of Tennyson Road, Droylsden, will appear at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court on February 16.

The charge relates to a collision shortly after 8pm on Friday, May 29.

Roy Ashton (46), from Hyde, died after his motorbike was in collision with a Volkswagen Polo.

A 46-year-old woman involved in the collision spent five months in hospital.
