Pony club youngsters were presented with their awards at the annual presentation dance.
PONY-MAD youngsters gathered to celebrate a year of success.
Saddleworth Pony club’s annual presentation dance at Saddleworth Cricket Club saw around 50 young people, aged from five to 21, pick up awards and trophies for their performance over the season.
Points are awarded to riders and their mounts for getting placed at the pony club’s monthly shows off Platting Road, Scouthead, and totted up at the end of the season to find the overall winners.
Pat Dewhurst, one of the show organisers, said young riders who had showed the most improvement during the season were rewarded as well as those who gained the highest number of points.
Saddleworth Pony Club was represented for the first time in the National Pony Club Championships held in Derbyshire in August.
The four members who took part were Amanda Barber, Vicky Leeson, Emma Hartley and Sophie Brown.
