STUDENT Noman Khalid could be a winner tonight after becoming a finalist in the Greater Manchester Student Awards competition.
Noman from The Radclyffe School, beat off stiff competition from other talented students from across Greater Manchester.
The awards are being held at Imperial War Museum North in Trafford, where he will get the chance to explore the museum and meet “Coronation Street” star, Ben Thompson, who plays Ryan Connor.
Noman was shortlisted for the top science and ICT prize — a week’s work experience at Rare Games Studios, one of the premier global games studios for Xbox 360, courtesy of Microsoft — thanks to the progress he has made in his science lessons.
The Greater Manchester Student Awards celebrate and reward the region’s next generation of writers, scientists, artists and musicians.
The competition was open to all state school students in Years 9 and 10 and covered categories including art and design, science and creative writing.
