DREAM job . . . Alex Bidolack works on his model of Ryan Giggs
OLDHAMER Alex Bidolack is on target to secure his dream job after reaching the final of a contest to find Legoland’s master model builder.
Alex (22) has made it down to the final four after impressing judges with his model of Ryan Giggs.
Legoland Discovery Centre, which is the first of its kind in the UK, will open at the Trafford Centre next year.
Neil Crittenden, general manager of the Legoland Discovery Centre, said: “We were really impressed by Alex’s skill and creativity and he was great with the youngsters too. We look forward to seeing him in the next round.”
The master model builder role will be based at the centre and the successful applicant will spend their days creating a host of shapes out of Lego.
Faced with millions of Lego bricks when they arrived, the would-be masters had to make an animal in 15 minutes before moving on to the famous face round.
The audition aimed to find a potential model builder who is skilled enough to be responsible for developing new features, exhibitions and building new models, as well as working with the thousands of children expected to visit the attraction each year.
