Artists’ work on show at exhibition
Date published: 03 December 2009
AN exhibition of work by a group of 15 artists is to be unveiled in Mossley.
“Freeze” features painting, printmaking, textiles, jewellery, video art, kinetic sculpture, photography, ceramics and street art at Woodend Mill in Manchester Road.
And the group’s resident art blacksmith will give visitors a chance to keep warm with a demonstration at the forge. Alternatively, they will be able to get creative at free mini-workshops.
There will be opportunities to meet artists and discuss their working practises and browse for gifts from a wide variety of art work to suit every taste and pocket.
Visitors will also be able to relax with a hot drink at the newly-opened Flying Teapot Cafe.
The exhibition can be seen from noon to 4pm on Sunday and on December 13. Admission is free.
