Lees celebrates switch-on
Date published: 10 December 2009
REVELLERS dressed in their finest Victorian wear to celebrate the Lees Christmas lights switch-on.
Oldham (Lees) Youth Band entertained the crowds for a festive sing-song and Father Christmas flicked the switch to illuminate the village centre on Saturday.
After the switch-on, revellers enjoyed mulled wine and mince pies at Lees Library Community Hub, where Santa welcomed children to his grotto.
