Band makes carol concert come alive
Date published: 14 December 2009
CHRISTMAS came early for members of a social club for people with learning difficulties.
The Terence O’Grady Club, which was set up 40 years ago, has more than 100 members who meet up on a Tuesday night at the Egerton Rooms in St Mary’s for social and leisure activities.
The club hosts an annual carol concert which was attended this year by brass band players from Oldham Music Centre.
Some of the revellers tried their hand at conducting the band as members enjoyed a festive sing song.
