Four on burglary charge

FOUR men have been charged with burglary and fraud after an 84-year-old woman was tricked and robbed in Burnley.
Wayne Langley (25), of Hollinwood Avenue, Chadderton, Sam Pollitt (23), of Hopgarth Walk, Newton Heath, Arthur Pollitt (50), of Keeley Close, Manchester, and Ronald Pollitt (43), of Verona Drive, Manchester, were remanded in custody following an appearance at Salford Magistrates’ Court.
The victim was tricked into paying money to cold callers purporting to be carrying out gardening work and while distracted she was burgled.
