Yew Tree pupils have the X-Factor

X marks the winners — children from Yew Tree school
MOVE over Joe McElderry. These pupils are the creme de la creme after winning Oldham’s very own version of “X-Factor” with a twist.
The Year 5 and 6 youngsters from Yew Tree Primary, Chadderton, were crowned champions in a borough-wide song competition.
Entrants has to perform in a foreign language via video link in the Eurovision-style event.
And the the Yew Tree pupils impressed the judges with their version of ABBA’s “Waterloo” to be crowned champions.
Delighted head teacher Martine Buckely said: “The staff and pupils are always doing great things. It’s really nice to celebrate some of these achievements with a wider audience.”
