CHRISTMAS cheer was brought to the Salvation Army thanks to a bumper donation of toys from the Oldham Chronicle and Oldham Chiropractic Centre.
About 100 games, gifts, toys and teddies were handed over to help the Salvation Army Toy Appeal. The donations will be distributed next week to families whose children would not be getting gifts this Christmas.
Sandra Mercer, from the Salvation Army, said: “All the donations are absolutely crucial, this year alone we have received over 200 referrals from social services and health visitors. Thanks to the generous donations, we’ve never had to turn anyone away.”
Anyone wishing to donate a last minute Christmas present should call 0161 624 5551.
