Family in poisoning scare
Date published: 23 December 2009
A FAMILY with young children had a lucky escape after a carbon monoxide leak at their home in Chadderton.
The three adults and three youngsters were taken to hospital for blood tests after they woke feeling groggy yesterday.
They are then believed to have opened a newly-purchased carbon monoxide detector which confirmed a leak of the potentially fatal gas. Fire-fighters ventilated the house in Denton Lane shortly before 8am.
