THE cast and crew of “Coronation Street” took time out from those famous cobbles to send festive treats to youngsters across Oldham.

Famous faces collected gifts for children’s centres in Alexandra, Medlock Vale, Werneth, Shaw and Crompton which are run by The Children’s Society.

Rob Jackson, assistant director at The Children’s Society, said: “The children will be delighted to receive presents from their favourite stars from the telly — a fantastic Christmas treat.”
