Circle celebrates 60-year anniversary

CELEBRATIONS were in order for the 60th anniversary of the Oldham Circle of the Catenian Association.
The Oldham circle was inaugurated in 1949 with founder president being a local pharmacist John Anderton.
The group is an association of Catholic Laymen originally formed in Manchester in 1908 to help young Catholics.
Members of the Oldham Circle marked their anniversary with a function at the White Hart Hotel, Lydgate.
