Golden day for the Hudsons

John and Kathleen Hudson
A CLOSE working relationship led to a love that has spanned the decades for Councillor John Hudson and his wife Kathleen.
The Greenfield pair, who celebrate their golden wedding anniversary tomorrow, met as workers at Claire’s Dyeworks — now the Kingfisher pub.
The couple, of St Mary’s Drive, married at St Mary’s Church, Greenfield. Daughters Claire (46) and Deborah (42) completed the family and they have a grand-daughter, Courtney (10).
John (70) has served on Oldham Council for seven years in Saddleworth East and South as well as his current position in Chadderton Central. He has been a Saddleworth Parish councillor for 30 years and served as chair in the last three decades.
John and Kathleen (71), are both members of Saddleworth Charity Committee, will celebrate their big day with a party at Uppermill Civic Hall
