STARS of popular teatime soap “Hollyoaks”, including Oldham-born Ricky Whittle, will be lacing up their boots for a charity football match this month.
Actors from the Channel Four series will be taking on Northside AFC at Chadderton Football Club, Andrew Street, on January 31.
The game, which kicks off at 3pm, has been organised to raise money for both Francis House Hospice, based in Didsbury, and Northside Junior Football Club.
There will also be a fundraising half-time raffle with great prizes on offer, and two mini football matches with the four youngest teams from Northside taking part.
Gates open at 1.30pm on the day and tickets are priced £5 for adults and £2.50 for under-16’s and concessions.
Tickets can be purchased on the door or from a variety of venues now including Zutti, Yorkshire Street, Chadderton FC, Broadway, and Boardman Brothers in Failsworth.
