BEATS:
LOVE them or loathe them, there’s no denying Jedward were the focal point of last year’s “X Factor” contest . . . and now they’re coming to Oldham.
John and Edward will play Tokyo, Roscoe Street, on Saturday — and we’re giving you the chance to win two pairs of VIP tickets.
The 18-year-old Irish twins split public opinion and even divided the judging panel on the ITV show. They were finally booted off in week seven after losing out to eventual runner-up Olly Murs in a sing-off.
The pair’s undoubted highlight on the show was a super camp performance of Britney Spears hit ‘‘Ooops I Did It Again’’ complete with shiny red PVC suits and their iconic blonde quiffs.
Since the show ended, the twins have fronted a tourism campaign for Ireland, signed a one-album contract with Sony BMG and secured a documentary series with ITV2.
And now those kind-hearted people at Tokyo are offering two pairs of VIP tickets for Jedward’s performance on Saturday. Simply text your name and the answer to the following question to 07711-580 912.
Q Who invaded the stage during Jedward’s performance of Queen hit “Under Pressure”/”Ice Ice Baby”?
