COMMUNITY spirit is alive and well in Failsworth after willing young footballers donned winter woollies to clear thick snow and ice.
Lee Folkard, manager at Failsworth Soccer Centre, organised a community clear up after young players at Failsworth Dynamos grew fed up of missing training. Local residents armed with shovels and wheelbarrows joined in the clear-up effort, while parents provided regular hot drinks and food.
