A THIEF snatched a bag full of cash from a security guard delivering money to the Yorkshire Bank, in Market Street, Shaw, on Monday afternoon.
After a short struggle with the security guard, the offender ran off with the bag — containing £20 notes and believed to contain up to £25,000 — across a near-by car park.
No one was injured.
The thief is described as white, in his mid 40s, 5ft 10in to 5ft 11in tall, of medium build and with a limp. He was wearing a black beanie hat, a black coat and blue jeans.
Anyone with any information is asked to call police on 0161-856 8951 or Crimestoppers on 0800-555 111.
