“Strictly Come Dancing” star Ricky Whittle will appear in court today charged with dangerous driving.
The 29–year–old Oldham-born actor, who finished runner–up in the BBC dancing show last month, was arrested at the end of November after he allegedly struck a photographer with his car.
The “Hollyoaks” actor walked into a police station in Merseyside, where he was bailed then charged at the end of the year.
Whittle (29), of Billinge, Wigan, will appear before magistrates in Liverpool.
At the time of the alleged incident, Whittle was taking a break from “Strictly” training and returned to Liverpool, where “Hollyoaks” is filmed.
He had attended a party at the city centre’s Parr Street Studios with colleagues from the Channel 4 drama before the incident.
