Brass band makes all the right noises

Brass band fans banished the winter blues to attend a fund-raising concert on Saturday.
The Navigation All Star Band played the civic hall, Uppermill, in what, to date, was the only fund-raising event for the Whit Friday Central prize.
Committee chairman Bob Rodgers said: “Phil Beckwith and Gilbert Symes worked overtime to bring the band and the concert together — and it was a great success.”
