Craig Gazey — Best Newcomer?
ROYTON actor Craig Gazey has been nominated for a prestigious prize for his “Coronation Street” role.
The former Our Lady’s RC High School pupil, who plays Graeme Proctor, is up for Best Newcomer at the National TV Awards.
The 27-year-old faces stiff competition from Bronagh Waugh (who plays Cheryl Brady in “Hollyoaks”), James Sutton (Ryan Lamb in “Emmerdale”) and Neil McDermott (Ryan Malloy in “EastEnders”).
Craig, who honed his acting skills at Oldham Theatre Workshop, won Best Newcomer at the British Soap Awards last year.
The results will be announced during a televised ceremony tomorrow. To cast your votes visit www.nationaltvawards.com
