Chadderton’s plans on table
Date published: 22 January 2010
THE FOUR key themes for the Chadderton District Plan have been chosen by Chadderton District Partnership.
Chadderton Working Group has selected Safe and Strong Communities, such as alleygating and reducing crime; Health and Well-being (tackling obesity and lack of exercise); Economic Prosperity (tackling unemployment) and Clean and Green Environment, (precinct improvements and tackling grot spots), as its priorities. They are said to capture what was highlighted in consultation with residents.
An Economic Prosperity Working Group was also formed to help tackle rising unemployment and a low skills base in the area.
It will work with partners to develop and monitor projects.
